Where the Church Began

The Presbyterian Church of Ghana began on this soil: the first Basel missionaries arrived at Christiansborg, Osu, in 1828.

Ga Presbytery traces its origin to the Ga-Adangme Presbytery, one of the five presbyteries created by Synod in 1922, and was inaugurated in 1972. Today it brings together 28 districts and the Ga Mission Field across Greater Accra, and is known as the Rainbow Presbytery.
